Crazy Days

Between work, moving, printing, and other life changes, I seem to barely have time to do anything. The good news is that these days are limited. Soon the new studio will be humming with printing, coding will be moving along, and great ideas will have time to bear fruit. Patience is a hard master.

Studio Two construction has begun

Today we managed to get the new lighting and wall outlets installed as well as removing the old cabinets and bits of shelving. Next up is insulation and drywall. That will be a challenge as several pieces need to go up in the ceiling.

The building stripped of just about everything before work begins.

Studio Two work begins

Today begins the remodel work on a new space. I have an empty 12 foot x 14 foot building that will be my new studio. This will be a dedicated electronics, 3D printing, rocket work space. I am calling it Studio Two. Photography will be a little cramped for a while but I plan on having a Studio Three sometime after that. There is a lot of work to be done, starting with a power upgrade and insulation.

Moving Day

Today I have been building out a new server to migrate all my work to. The last site to move will be this one. My current server has be up for over 23,000 hours so I think it is time. Lots to do…

A Way Out

I have been thinking about all the negativity that keeps showing up in the world. The incessant focus on our current President when the world is moving in chaotic circles. People are unhappy. There is division everywhere. It is my ideas vs. your ideas and you are wrong, dangerous or stupid if you don’t agree with (insert idea here). Why are we fighting about everything instead of acknowledging the differences and working on the problems together? Have the ideologies moved so far apart that we cannot agree on anything?

It saddens me that honorable discourse seems to be a thing of the past.

3D Printing Again

It seems like it's been forever, but I finally have my 3-D printer up and running again. Using new types of plastics can be a challenge with these devices. I am hoping that once I have it tuned, the need for changes will be few and far between.

First Independent Products

I started developing my first independent products for space. Don’t have a name for them yet, but they will be kits that let you build your own PocketCube sized working satellite. More details as the final design shakes out.
